NEMIS (New Music In Scotland)A network designed to bring together those with a strong interest in the promotion and development of new music in Scotland. Their website provides a wealth of information about Scottish artists, labels, music businesses, media, recording studios, venues, radio, creatives and professional services within the industry. Those who are active in the contemporary music scene in Scotland can join the network and be listed on the site. New Media ScotlandNew Media Scotland supports experimentation by practitioners in art and technology. Through working with and supporting the presentation of work by artists in this field, we hope to foster greater public understanding of the role that technology is playing in contemporary culture. Scottish Music CentreThe Scottish Music Centre maintains 3 comprehensive databases. These are the Catalogue, Concert and Directory listings. We collect and store up-to-date online News & Features where you can find Scottish Music News, Competitions, Music Vacancies and Current Scene overview. The online Shop stocks thousands of Scottish titles, some rare, ranging from CDs to sheet music. Sonic Arts NetworkSonic Arts Network is a national organisation that enables both audiences and practitioners to engage with the art of sound in diverse, accessible and innovative ways. Sonic Arts Network fosters a culture of creative risk taking and experimental approaches to sound through a cutting edge programme of festivals, events, commissions and education projects. University of Dundee - Sound Art and Designwww.dundee.ac.uk/postgraduate/courses/media_arts_imaging_sound_art_design_msc.htm This strand within the established MSc Media Arts & Imaging programme allows the development of sonic art practice while gaining a critical, theoretic and technical understanding of the media and its historical significance. The School of Media Arts and Imaging has excellent high-end recording and editing facilities supported by highly experienced academic and technical staff. The Masters course benefits from a dedicated course leader and the Sound Art & Design course is supported by internationally renown artists and guest lecturers in the field.
