Beard magazine may be dormant, but our mission to bring underground and cult music from Glasgow and beyond continues on Glasgow University's Subcity Radio. Stewart, Neil, Gary and friends present a shambolic but enthusiastic hour of beautiful, weird, funky and horrible sounds. Underground rock rubs up against free jazz, noise, world music, hip-hop, dubstep, folk and experimental music.

Variant
Variant is a magazine of cross-currents in culture; this includes subjects as diverse as video, television & film, avant-garde music, new art initiatives, performance, cultural & media studies, philosophy, critical thinking, popular culture and social movements. In its broadest sense, Variant aims to look at the function of art and ideas in contemporary society.
White Noise
White Noise was started in the late 90's as a result of my interest in obscure and fringe musics. Frustrated by missing important gigs and by the lack of a consistent online resource for Scottish events, White Noise was started to address the gap. The site was reasonably successful but it eventually closed as a result of maintenance problems.

The Wire
