What is updatescotland.com?

Updatescotland.com is the most comprehensive source of information about the experimental, electronic, improvised, droney, noisy, etc. music that is being made and performed in Scotland at the moment. It was set up in 2006 in order to provide a neutral, comprehensive and regularly updated source of information and is run on a non-profit basis.

In addition to the listings and events guide, updatescotland.com also has a less neutral blog called Long+Wrong. It features tracks, interviews and writings about music and musicians relevant to Scotland.

Since late 2009 we have been helping to make a film about experimental music and musicians based in Scotland. We are expecting to launch the film later in 2011.

We are also organising a series of events at the CCA in Glasgow throughout 2011. The first is on April 9th.
